hi berto, thanks. Ive been on the hunt all year, though my volume has dropped down due to time constraints. And bigmag, yes, it was the most fun Ive had opening rolls in a long time, if not ever. Some rolls had 10, 11, 12, 13...
the new image resizer is crashing my browser for now, else I post up some pics. MEGA rolls, enders, it really was a dream day. Hole fillers were 1918 and 1948.
95 x 90%, 75 x 40%, that was a dream day for sure.
I bumped my order for next week to see if I can chip away any more at this silver spill. even to catch some boxes on the edge of this spill would surely be above average boxes.
nice finds Silver Eagle! its always good to add to the pile, whenever you can.
good luck all! Arby, great to see your updates, good luck!

Skibdib, Silvereagle, Outstanding scores, I love seeing numbers like that Skibdib, It always gives me hope I will make another score like yours down the road. Can't wait to see your pictures. Gets me excited for Tuesday when I pick up my first four boxes for the week.

Oh, I might have to start posting in this thread, since I've done more halves than anything. Just started CRHing this summer, and I'm not sure exactly how much in half dollars I've gone through, but it's probably around $4000 worth at this point.
Totals for all those torn open paper wrappers that mostly litter the floor of my car:
90% - 1 (a '64 Kennedy I found on the first day I started, still looking for #2 lol) 40% - 33 (4x65, 2x66, 8x67, 16x68D, 2x69D, and a 76S silver bicentennial proof! Speaking of which...) Proofs - 7 (74S, 76S silver clad, 77S, 83S, 84S, 85S, and 2001S, all of varying degrees of impairment, but darn pretty nonetheless) NIFC - 29 (All between 2002 and 2016. Still looking for those elusive 87/87Ds... and the 70D for that matter)
Hoping to find my first Franklin sometime soon, that would be a thrill!
Overall I think I've been fairly fortunate so far, at least with the 40%ers and proofs.

Meraxes, you're doing great given you've searched only 8 boxes of halves, grats!

Went around searching for halves on lunch break...one bank had 3 CWR so I took those. Roll number 1 was all 1968...Roll numbers 2 and 3 were all 69. May one day I'll overcome my technological ignorance and post a pic.

Thanks berto! I might be slightly underestimating what all the bank teller tray buys have added up to, but probably not by much. Speaking of boxes though, I've never actually ordered one from a bank/cash processor, and so far the few times a bank I've visited has had $500+ dollars worth on hand to sell me, results have been poor for silver (but just fine for proofs and NIFCs.) The sweet spot for me, so far, has been getting $30-$60 at a time.

Personally, I also don't have much success at all dealing with large numbers of MWR. In my opinion asking the teller to check her tray/drawer and the surrounding drawers of her fellow tellers pays the best dividends. This is basically the only way I do halves now and over the last month I have pulled 4 SOLID rolls of 40% and a walker...in fact if you just looked at my numbers for the last month I am getting 2.5 silver coins for every clad! I know it goes up and down, but by far the most successful method for me is just asking the tellers what they may have.
Godspeed to all and happy hunting.

Most Excellent Skibdib, boy does that make me mouth water! Meraxes welcome to the blog, hope you continue to score lots of silver. May your first Bennie come soon. HHB good luck with that hunting style, I don't have that kind of luck asking tellers, it happens once in a while, in a town of 30,0000 I am limited on the banks I can go to.

Just finished up my first four boxes for this week, first of all I was a bit disappointed when I picked up the boxes this morning, I usually get the small double stack boxes from Miracle, instead they had the loomis boxes. Loomis boxes have not been producing much these days so I was happy to find 1-64 and 1-Magic Coin. I think its my first one in over a year. I can't remember the last time I pulled a Magic Coin. That makes 40 magic coins I have pulled since searching. Hope tomorrow is a better day, missed my goal last week hope to make it this week. Good Luck everyone.

Wife pickup my 2 boxes on Monday, box 1 had 5 1967 and 1 1968, plus a 1991S and a 1971S. This box was not sealed with any tape, it is a double stack box. Second one I have had this year that was not sealed, it to had silver in it. Box 2 was near a bust, roll 43 had one 1967. Total 7 40%, that is one OZ. of silver. Living the dream. Webekin

Webekin, happy to hear you scored some silver. I just finished up my second 4 boxes for the week, unfortunately all four boxes were skunks. I did reach a today, with those 4 boxes I just went over $1,000,000.00 face value searched, 2,000,000 half dollars searched. That is just amazing with less than $2500 invested I was able to search over a million dollars in halves. I was hoping to break 5,000 pieces of silver found before I hit the million mark, I fell short by 102 pieces of silver. Only wish I had some pictures of silver to share today as well. Wishing you all the best of luck.
