Bank had a "sealed" box in vault. They were very glad to part with it. I suspect a re-seal... Got 1 Bicentennial clad proof. First hunted proof for me, lots of marked coins and no silver
Quote: I wonder how many coins Jack had to go through to get five of them.
If I had to guesstimate I have searched approximately $3 million worth of halves over the last 5 or 6 years (6 million coins)
It has been a couple of years since I found my last quarter stock and there were 2 within 2 weeks.
I have found over 100 1974 D DDO, 75 or more 1982P No FG polished off seriff, and lots of other errors.
I still search but my work schedule at the new job is less forgiving for searching and dumping and every month another bank pulls their coin counters out or one is broken.
Jack you were a CRH junkie you must been searching 10-12K a week. That is humping it. Good Job. Well my first four boxes for the week yielded 1 very pretty 67, I also pick one heck of a GEM 72D beautiful fields and Nice cartwheels. Its almost Mirror like. I can most confidently say it has not been polished. Wishing you all the best, and good luck.
USSID18 What did you use to take your picture of the half? I have used three different cameras and have not been able to get such a nice detailed crisp pic like yours. Thanks
Here you go. It's an eFlex 75x/300x Digital Microscope. I think I paid 30 or 40 bucks a few years ago. It's good enough for what I need it for. You can probably get it cheaper if you shop around.
