Kfish- agree with you on dime searching, they can be very tedious due to size. Funny you posted that about brinks though as I haven't had much luck since July. Although I get my boxes from loomis, 15 and a half boxes of all 1995 Really began to test my patience! But I've had some really good boxes in September and early October. Anyway, thanks for testing the dime boxes for the rest of us. I wish you luck in scoring a great box soon to give us all some hope

Got lucky and finished off the year on a good note. First stop on New Years Eve 7 CWR. Opened first nothing second roll solid silver 3rd roll solid silver. Next 3 rolls nothing and last had 19 silver. Breakdown was 1965-6, 1966-9, 1967-38, 1969-1 and 1964-5. Made a few more stops nothing doing. Last stop teller has $3 loose and 4 of them are 1964s. They seemed a little confused at that bank I will be paying them a visit this week and see if they have any rolls in the vault.

I will have another box of dimes tomorrow. We will see what happends. I also wanted to say that over the last 2 years I have marked 5000 coins not to ever see one. So I think my dumps are not coming back to me. I dump at a different bank that has loomis as its service. The coin counters at the bank I use reject silver coins. Is that the same with the ones you guys are using? I'm on the hunt today to find a bank that does not use brinks(and not my dump bank) and will sell me halves. Whats sad is I had a pretty good year going till aug.

Bank had 2 rolls of half dollars so I took them both.

Both were customer rolled.

Roll 1: 3 silvers.

1966

1968D x2

Roll 2 had a half that used to be gold plated and 4 bicentennials.

Nothing newer than 2000 in either roll most from the 1990s and 1970s.

Happy New Year everyone, I just finished up my first 4 boxes of the new year and I pulled 1-66, It is better than no silver, though I would like to have seen a better start to 2019. I wish you all the best of luck in 2019, I hope you all find what you are searching for.

My second set of 4 boxes had three skunks and I pulled 1-67 and 1-68, and my last four boxes for this week all skunks, so I pulled 3 40%ers for my first week of 2019. When I was dumping my second set of boxes yesterday I asked the teller helping me cash my dump ticket if she had any halves, and she told me she had $14.50 in loose halves, I asked if I could check them out, and when she put the first stack on the counter, I said I would buy them all! Yes she had $14.00 in face value all 40%ers. I picked up 28 40%ers from the teller. Everyday across the country people are still cashing in silver half dollars for face value. So I picked up $65.00 worth of silver for $14 bucks. If I can get them in my small town, I can guarantee everyone its happening where you live too. Remember anytime you are in a bank always ask tellers if they have halves. 3-65, 2-66, 7-67, 14-68 and 2-69's This made my week for sure. Enjoy!
