Gotta love finding silver and a nice looking Canadian toonie!

Do you have to order boxes of halves ahead? I was in the US earlier this week. None of the three banks I went into had half dollars.

Picked up 6 rolls of halves from a bank today. I wasn't too optimistic since they were customer wrapped and taped, but I found (1) 1968d Kennedy half!

I had another good week from Nov 11 through 15, 16 boxes searched, 12 skunks, and 4 boxes yielded me 23 pieces of silver, with 5-90%ers and 18-40%ers, One Buffalo Bill sticker coin, 12-NIFC, 11-11D's, 3-11P's, 2-17D's. 1-71 Gold Plated counterstamped half, I pulled 5-64 kennedys, and 2-65, 5-66, 8-67, and 3-68's. Hope you all had a great week. No CRH this week headed to Washington DC. There will be no post from me until next week. Wishing you all the best of luck on your CRH.

It's been awhile since I've searched any. Picked up 2 boxes today and got 13-40% and 1 Franklin. The other box will be searched tomorrow.

Two boxes this week. Teller ask if I would like her loose halves. Sure, she had 6, one is a 1967. Other teller say she has a silver quarter. She let me have it for a quarter, a 1959. Now the first box was great,
1917P, 1918D, 1940D, 1941D, 1942P, 2-1943D, 1944. Also found, 2-1965, 1-1966, 3-1967, 4-1968, 1-1969.
There were 6 1987D, and 5 1987P in AU in this same box, plus about 10 2005 P and D's, AU, some I returned to the rewrapped rolls as I was short on loose halves to replace the silver ones. Now that I see these 2005's have some extra value, I will go back and retrieve those 2005's. Second box had 1 2005, like the first box it was AU also. Webekin

Nice haul. How common are the 1987's in boxes (I, admittedly, only really pay attention to the silver finds when I read this thread)? I'm working on a new P&D set of Kennedy's and am trying to do as much as I can from circulation. Have all the silvers (including the 1970D) and a number of NIFC's in this way.

The 1987 were mint sets only, I was 2 years searching boxes before I found my first 1987's. Filled my book, then found a nice pair P&D, sold them at auction to coin club member for $4.50 for the pair. Have since found 2 more that are impaired. But these recent finds are excellent. I will try and get the pictures posted. Webekin
