Hey Everyone, Went to the bank to pick up quarters to search for W's The Manager said she had a box of halves, so of course I purchased it. One of the Tellers had a 68 and sold it to me. The box was a skunk. The 4 Quarter Boxes Produced nicely. Found another Ender with a 2020W on it. Bank called Friday so I collected two boxes. ask if the teller had any loose halves and yes she had $7.00. noticed a new half 2021D, and when I arrived home found 1968D also. Good start to the weekend. First box had six more 2021's, and a lone 1968D. Now the second box paid out better with a '68, 2 '67, a '66, a '65, and a lone 1964 in the last roll. Also had more 2021's. I did not count the NIFC I saved from 2003-2017 plus the 2021. There were 8-2021D, and 6-2021P, plus a 2000S and a 2006S.     GL HH to all, Webekin |

Hi to all. Hope everyone is doing well. I know we always show our good finds here this will not be that type of post. Have to show the good vs the bad.I have not been doing much hunting lately however the few attempts I have made have been very unproductive. Last Thursday I put in some time and came away with nothing. Even the usual reliable spots had no silver. At times like this I think that I will never score another silver coin. I plan on picking up the pace after labor day. We shall see what happens. Good Luck to everyone.

Thinking of starting halves roll hunting here. Do y'all look for "no FG" during your search?

Thanks! Another question, some of you are finding these 2020, 2021, etc halves in rolls... arn't these coming from people who have bought these directly from the mint, pulled the best, and put these into circulation?
I'm really impressed that people are still finding 40% and 90% halves in these rolls. I found them like this back in the 1970's but I thought they were pretty rare by now.

From what I understand, the fed is actually filling orders for halves and are getting the 2021 dated ones straight from the mint. This also happened with the 2018 halves. You will find lots of the 2018-dated coins in circulation as a result. Thus, I don't consider either 2018 or 2021-dated halves true NIFCs. CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Well the grind continues got these on my last stop yesterday and I made quite a few. I really can,t explain as to why it is become so difficult to find silver.  |
