I was going to sell off a bunch of silver when it was at $29. I didn't and silver dropped. I will wait it out. Really would like to get some of it sold hopefully soon.

Cabo and Bishftl, awesome scores, Bishftl I like those watches in the background too. Will be getting 4 boxes this week. Been a while since I searched some halves. Looking forward to it. Been killing it on the quarter hunt for W's. Good luck everyone!

7 boxes on Tuesday, bank had 3 extra boxes for unknown reason, took 1, pick up other 2 on Friday. Starting 10 box orders in a week 1/2. Getting deeper into the inventory. I haven't gone through half dollar rolls in a long time, decided to have at it again for fun. Called the local Fifth Third branch, spoke with someone who said they would order a box of halves for me and they'd call when the coins were in. Within an hour the branch called back, someone different, and said they couldn't (I took as wouldn't) do it. Also asked if this was for a hobby, and partly blamed the coin shortage (what shortage?). Said I should call the Federal Reserve.
Will probably close my account there.

There is a coin shortage and half dollars are not immune. The Fed has been ordering half dollars from the Mint this year, which is why we are seeing 2021 halves in circulation.

Yes, I was aware of the change this year with half dollars actually being ordered for circulation. What is interesting is that the last time I deposited rolls of coins (from loose change accumulated over the years) at this same branch, I mentioned the shortage, and asked the teller if they are still seeing it. She kind of laughed at me, and said no like I was some conspiracy nut. Anyway, they wouldn't even put the order in.
