Thanks, Anyone have any suggestions on a way to get that plating off the 1970s half? I saw another half in that box with the same plating....guessing it was part of some set....and it was chipping off? Would Acetone do the trick?

Acetone should work it it is painted. However, think anything you try will probably ruin the surface if it is real plating.
I would leave it as is for the fun factor. I have a few gold plated finds of different denominations (only one half dollar) in my miscellaneous album.

Bank called, my normal 2 boxes were available. brought them home and opened one box. Notice what might be an ender, sure enough, a '64, and a '67, and '68, in the same roll. had other rolls in the top half that had 3 40%er's also. Roll number 41 had a '64 a '54 and '63 bennie. Total earlier were 3 Walking Liberty, 2 '43 and a '41?. There were no NIFC, but I kept some nice '79 '82 and '83 specimens. The back 4 stacks represent 4 of 5 rows of the upper layer of rolls, while the front 5 stacks are the bottom rows. Great box, my last 6 boxes over 12 weeks averaged 3 silver coins per 2 boxes. So I have not been reporting my successes. Total silver, 7.6101 OZ., valued at todays price, $170.32. Great box, 1 more to go. GL HH, Webekin Second box was about normal for lately, 2-1967, a 2007 and a 2013. It's all good, Webekin

Wow what awesome finds everyone. I just asked one of my banks to order me 4 boxes. I miss finding that silver in those half dollars. Searching Quarters one doesn't find as much silver. Anyway Congrats to all of you!!

I decided to go "big" this week and went through 8 boxes, found (3) 40% and a very nice 1987-D NIFC. Also found lowball 1977 worn to Good. I found a ton of 2002 - 2017 NIFC halves, I'm guessing at least 50 rolls, almost all are choice/GEM BU. The 2015's are especially nice and I seem to have the most of the date, almost all GEMS and some are fully PL. Are these NIFC's sellable?

Hunted a bit yesterday managed to get these. I don't collect errors but the 1988 MM looks a little off I'm not sure.
