I love tearing into those 500 dollar bank boxes and would gladly do 2 boxes a day 7 days a week if a. I had the money 2. an accommodating bank and c. a way to dump them without cornstarch(star) fees. My bank will order a box for me every 2-3 months but the deal stipulates "don't bring them back" its fun when you hit a box with 6-15 40%ers but honestly for me its cheaper to buy rolls of 40%ers in bulk. Haven't bought any since mid 2018 and when I did they were $58.00 a roll from JMBullion 1/3 the rolls were flash white 1968 D BU's and I mean bright, sold them for $78.00 a roll when silver spiked and they went fast on the bay. My LCS had a collection dump of 40%ers last Wednesday (silver was $19.11 spot) $376.00 face he wanted $6.00 x face (if I bought them all) well I took the offer comes out to over 110 oz. Troy. Sure most hate these and despise them...I understand the sentiment but for me its cheap silver and people do want these especially when theirs a spike in silver. Its the unperfect perfect fractional bullion coin, they clink like crazy, come in all colors and cheap to stack. Yes, I'm one of those few who stack them :) it could be worse and I could be a copper stacker LOL wait...their 60% copper. Guess I am the bottom of the barrel stacker! Long live the 40% jfk!

Cam: I think 40%ers are cool to stack, they look and feel like 90% silver!

Remember, when you look at a 40% silver half dollar the part that you see is 80% silver.

I cracked 6 boxes last week and pulled 4 pieces of silver 1-63D Bennie, 2-67 and 1-68. I also cracked 4 boxes this week and got skunked. Will be picking up 4 boxes today but won't be able to search them until next week. Hinterlander, awesome score, Those look like Merical boxes you are searching. What part of the country are you searching at? I am in Southern New Mexico. I get very similar rolls and boxes here from one of me banks.

Arby96 Thanks! We're neighbors, I'm in Arizona. My pickup bank uses Brinks, so I get the two layer boxes with black rolls. They're hit and miss, I average about 1 silver for every 3 boxes. But I can go 6 boxes without a silver and then get 12 in one box. Obviously, this score is really going to skew that average. I've never searched any of the yellow Loomis boxes, but at this point I really don't want them, that's who my dump bank uses so I'd probably end up hunting all my old discards. Lol
