One box of $500 in halves yielded my second-ever 1987-D.

Nice on the '87 SilverRoosevelt, I find '87's every so often, I think of them as a REAL NIFCs. In my opinion, the 2002 and on dates are quasi NIFCs, I think many were released by the mint into circulation. I say this because the dates are relatively plentiful and I think the mint probably had tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands extra, unsold sets, bags, and rolls that they released. The Satin finish versions are probably closed to real NIFC's but again I think many were released into circulation as well.

after asking all the banks for about 2 months, finally get a box of half dollar. When I open it with all the excitement, just found that seems are machine wrapped by loomis and all of them have shinny endings of 2022. Kind of disappointed. Is it still worthy to open all of the rolls?

EchoCoin, I would open them, you never know what is inside them, or if any old halves are mixed in. I open all rolls, no matter if they are shiny or not.

The only cost is your time. I would hate for you to miss on that one piece of silver that slipped in. Then again, the odds are against you when all the ends are showing 2022. The box is already home, that is half the battle.

Wasn't there a box that RobFindsTreasure hunted where there was one 40 in a box with 60% of the enders being 2021s.
(Yes, I binge watch that guy's stuff. Don't judge.)

We have a few rolls of old Kennedy's that are still in their wrappers. 2 of them are my Mom's and I'm sure they're '64's. One of them that we bought have 64's at each end and probably 64's in the middle too. It's a very old, brown bank wrapper. We may open them someday. It's fun to know that there's a little mystery to them! We have lots of '64's...not inventoried.

Keep up your happy searches...they're out there!

You may want to check the 64s for varieties.
On the Philadelphia there are DDOs, TDOs (tripled die obverses), and QDOs (quadruple die obverses) that have a premium, and on the Denver there is a DDR that you may want to look for.

i am sure this questions has been asked over the years, but is it better to just order 1-2 boxes rather than 6+?

it seems that the MORE you search at once, yields more than just searching a box here or there. I have been out of roll searching for YEARS. I only have a few thousand to search with. I live in the Tucson AZ area and bank with a credit union. IF anyone from that area has any tips etc. let me know.

Thanks

Congrats on your silver scores all. I searched 6 boxes this week all skunks for silver. I definitely am not scoring silver like the first couple of years I was searching halves. I remember getting silver on a consistent basis like Cabo. Its more of a hit and miss now. More skunk boxes for sure. That is why I am not searching as many boxes a week. I use to search 12-16 boxes a week and now do 6 boxes a week. One of these months I will try again at a 16 box week just to see what the outcome might be. Good Luck everyone on your CRH. May you all have a wonderful weekend.

found these a couple weeks ago, (3) 40% halves, (8) very nice clad proofs, and 87-P & 87-D, and (1) gold plated half. Good finds but went through (8) boxes to find these.
