I had a dream a couple nights ago where I was paid with a roll of half dollars. The ender was a 1978, and there were at least five or six 1976 ones. I also saw a 1972-D that was shaped like an octagon. No silver or other oddities though.

A branch had three rolls last weekend, they yielded four 1964s and a single 1967. I bought five rolls from another branch, but they had nothing of interest On Saturday I asked a teller if he had halves, he stated that he had three dollars loose. He asked me, "Would you like to see if you want them first?", but I could see silver and replied calmly, "Oh, no, don't bother. I'll just take whatever you have". The group was a bicentennial, a 1965, three 1967s, and a 1968. That's unusually productive for me. I'm going to concentrate on buying loose coins and rolls from branches that service a higher proportion of businesses versus personal accounts, especially fast food and gas stations. Branches in residential areas seem to be picked over. Moreover, I don't have a great system for dumping large amounts of rejects - the coin machines in the banks I use are the Magner ones that don't accept halves.   |

Im a currency collector but occasionally I would ask the tellers if they have half dollars. Last Friday they had some and I brought $200 worth. These are my finds: 1967 - 40% silver.  S Proofs (front):  S Proofs (back):  NIFC's:  1990's - I separated these bc they look close to uncirculated but I think Ill be going to throwing it back into circulation unless someone see's something I don't see or why I should keep it.  1980's - Same as 1990's but I did find out that 1987 is also an NIFC. Keeping that.  Bicentennial coins (gold plated): throwing these back into circulation.  |

nice finds all! keep the bicentennials on the right lucky rollers, they look very nice and nice toning. a lot of bicentennials look bad and few clads have nice toning.

luckyrollers, AU bicentennial halves bring a small premium, so you may want to consider keeping them.

Got the Ben on Thursday that was the only silver for the day. Picked up the 5 40% yesterday.  |

Picked up 3 rolls of Halves at one of my banks yesterday... the teller was very happy to get rid of them...  I was very happy to take a 10% silver hit rate!    CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

found these a few weeks ago, has been quiet ever since. The 1995-s is a silver proof, I found a 1964 and 1968-s proof in the past, this is the first modern proof silver I've come across.  Edited by gsr12010
