One of my Wells Fargo branches was very hesitant recently to dole out CWR of dimes since they "can't guarantee" what's in them as you are experiencing (likely due to complaints of short rolls). This came back to bite me in the backside just yesterday as I took in $80 of dime CWR that were short 2-5 dukes PER ROLL (at a different branch).
I used to have an issue with one of my branches too, so I started bringing a slim scale with me... A roll of dimes should weigh a min. of 113 grams... if it is less than that, it is short. I would always weigh them before putting them into my bank bag... if they were short, they got returned to the teller and replaced (or corrected). One time, I had a group of nickels where it was literally every roll being a coin short... same for quarters (this is the most common abuse)... it's harder to pull on halves, actually as a short roll will stand out more.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Speaking of a few posts back, this little happy hour search today came from a Wells Fargo. I'm not an account holder there (though I briefly once had a Wachovia account before it merged many years ago), but I still managed to search $50 in CWR. 8 1964s and 32 40% Silvers, plus a 1973-S impaired proof helped me manage the slow traffic home a little bit better today. One of the five rolls had 19 out of 20 silvers.

Last Friday, I did another $50 search from CWR, including $30 from the same bank that netted that silver haul. Unfortunately, I struck out.
Today, I just searched $200 in MWR, and although there was no silver, I did muster six modern NIFCs- 2010-P, 2010-D, 2016-D, (2) 2018-P, and a 2018-D. Nearly half of the coins were 2023-P's and 2024-P's, indicating that the recent return to general circulation is really starting to make those old "casino era" 1980s-90s halves where some have worn down to VG are starting to come to the point that high-grade coins from this era may eventually become future keepers.
P.S. A bit off-topic, but while mailing a package today, I did manage to swap out a 2016 cent for a 1957 from a "take a coin, leave a coin" tray. Those trays did contain non-cent coins in them, so expect them to become more filled with nickels and dimes as we bid farewell to the ol' penny.
