I tried bank hopping and its been a major bust except for a couple lucky banks early on. Half the banks say they don't have any and no scores on the rest from trays or rolls. Fortunately they usually don't hassle me for no account. But I think I've missed the great silver train everybody's talking about here. Report this Post to the Staff

Soon, however, the mint discovered that collectors had no intentions to pay above face value for a business strike coin with a very high mintage, so many millions were released into circulation. I don't know if it was worth the bother, but looking through the box I separated them. Frankly from my limited experience, bicentennials seem to be one of the most common dates aside from 1971. I got oodles and oodles of them...however I did run across an unusual one which might be plated in something. If I ever stop being lazy I might post it sometime. Report this Post to the Staff

I almost thought getting the box was a waste of time, then about half way through I opened a roll and saw the liberty bell on the end of the roll! I was shocked, Didn't get to see it when unwrapped and looking at the side of the coin! Then a few rolls later the 1968. That was it for me but at least something. Shavill Valued Member United States 139 Posts	Posted 04/28/2011 12:03 am Todays rolls: 5 rolls, plus 6 loose coins. The 6 rolls were marked Keith, and had X's on them. I figured they had been searched. But here is what was in the rolls 2xrolls of all 1971 1xroll of 15 1974, 3 1972, and 2 1971 1x roll of the bicentennials I believe and 2 rolls of misc, one of which came from a different bank. So I think I happened into someone dumping a collectors rolls, maybe? What do you guys think, if so I'll go by the other 100$ worth of rolls. Report this Post to the Staff
