Dumping...
Teller: So 500 dollars right?
Me: Yes
Teller: You collect these?
Me: Yeah
Teller: Where do you get these from?
Me: Oh I just had them for a while
Teller: I know but do you order them from ba-
Me: I just had them for some time
Teller: Uh huh..so where did you get the box from?
Me: Uh I had that for awhile too.
Teller: Okay
Me: This is just a small part of my collection.
Teller: Hmm..so you have more?
Teller: Which ones do you look for?
Me: Well they haven't made very many since 2002 (well I do look for NIFCs unlike some on here)
Teller: Really?
Looks like someone with enough authority to cause trouble if she wants so it looks like I may want to avoid dumping at this particular branch for awhile.

I know , sometimes I'm interviewed at the banks . I learned one thing , the banks where I ask for boxes love me and dont care at all how many or what denomination . The banks where I dump dont like much so I'm coming up with a good game plan to keep going with it ! Sometimes I ask everywhere for coins and some bank teller say: do you have a a Account with us , so I cant give any coins , etc etc then I realize why bother to go where they are mean ? I ll just stick where they like me and if you really think about it , there is other way of cash your coins ! Good luck my friend !

Buffalo Baffoon.. I am in the midwest and I am having similar if not WORSE luck than you. I find more NIFC coins than silvers lol. I can usually pull 2 coins per box (NIFC or Silver). I would prefer silver though.

jarwulf - I get the same conversation every now and then from tellers at my dump banks. When I first started doing this I ended up dumping at a couple of banks too often and ended up getting "banned" from their coin exchange services. Now I just go to a different bank from the same branch each week so they don't see me for around 1 month +/- But they still shoot those questions every now and then, I think some of the tellers are just making conversation sometimes, but I always do wonder.

I have been doing 4 boxes per week the past 3 weeks, all without silver.
I found a Portuguese 50 escudo from 1988. Even though it is likely worth less than 50c, at least I got top look at something other than damned old clad.
Current skunk box streak at 14. I think I will run it out to 100, then call it quits.

90percenters, there are no silver 77s. No silver proofs or the like.
And for all...how do you get halves in a bag? Only ever get them in boxes...

smokeriderdon,
Just ask them at your bank if they can get them in a bag. They come in bags of $1,000 (2,000 coins)

Yeah this blew away all of my other finds and more than doubled my silver holdings. Funny thing is this was a bank I happened to spot on my way back to another place where I had found a few silver dimes. They also had a bag of 50 ikes. As I was looking through it one of the tellers joked that there was no silver. Didn't find anything worth mentioning in the bag but I bought a few. Then afterward I opened the rolls and found they were both solid. I guess the tellers really didn't take advantage of their knowledge.
Went to the bank I was originally headed for and didn't find the teller I saw before so I didn't get any more dimes...whatever. I didn't care anymore was so psyched. Judging by the contents I wondered if the guy who put it together knew their worth. Oh well, Johnny gets 20 bucks for some smokes and a six pack and I get roughly 300 dollars worth of silver. Everybody's happy!

Jarful, did you just stop at a random bank Wells Fargo and they had that "on-hand" or were those ordered?

Judging by the taped paper wrappers that you can see above I'd say they were either brought in by customers or (maybe) wrapped at the bank itself. Coming from a coin processor box I'd typically expect one of those tight crimped machine wraps you have to tear open. Those ones tend to be terrible. Something happens in the process that turns these CWR into neat machine rolled stacks that sucks out or dilutes almost all the worthwhile stuff.
