Just hit one more skunk today , now my recorde goes up to 7 skunks streak !

Right there with you. Did a box today found nothing!
Truth be told, about a month ago I found 1 dirty (black rim) 40% half, before that I was on a 6 box stunk streak as well.
If I didn't find that one dirty half I would be on an 13 box skunk streak.
People hate to say it, but...

what keeps you guys going when you get a 7 streak skunk and then you break the skunk by getting only 1 40% half? it is more of a pain to dump halves and you dump several boxes of them, and they are expensive. with such a small return it seems like too much effort.

murrellington, I keep on seeing these posts of people finding walkers and bens. I want to find one, just one pretty badly.
Believe me, I am already dreading dumping these.

Yes, the finding keeps me going. I have found a Frankin and standing Liberty along with 4 40%s. Surprised to find the older coins but 3 boxes and 6 silver. Not a lot but enough to want to get another box! I've had similar experience with nickels $1,200 and about 20 silver and 20 buffalos along with many foreign coins and old nickels.

If I were you, I would keep some coinage. They say if our US dollar tanks, coins will be good to have! When Argentina's currency tanked coins and small bills were the best to have or so I've read. Paper money is paper, at least coins have some intrinsic value!

Sounds like a lot of you are getting skunked on the Half dollars lately. I have two boxes coming in on Thursday. I hope to find something. My only Half search so far yielded NOTHING in 2 bags.

Went out Tuesday and today to different banks buying up half dollars and for two days I found $18.50 in silver. I get my four bags tomorrow morning, hope my streak countinues. 2- 64-Kennedys 1- 54-Franklin 34-40%=Kennedys  Edited by SilverCoinPicker

Two boxes yesterday and here is what we got.  I found the 67. Th wife found the rest. She is really starting to annoy me. LOL |

Went ahead and finally finished my Wisconsin Death Trip this week. Picked up the last of last weeks order which was $3k worth ( was 2500 but found another box, yea me). Results?
1 40% 1968 Kennedy
2 Proofs 1978, 1979
Overall not too shabby for the entire trip. I am officially stating this. If my dream box rolls in, I'm retiring from halves. If not, well HH!
