They will not make you rich, but they were not made for circulation, so pull them out.

park, again I say, no reason not to. If you like the coin and want it graded, do so. Yes it will cost about 30 bucks. But again, if it is a coin you like and it is high quality, go right ahead. Unless of course you are broke.

If you liked it enough to ask in the first place...

I rather have a tougher date 2¢ piece in F than put $30 in some millionaires' pockets for a piece of plastic of questionable value. Then again I collect coins, not plastic.

Doesn't matter what they are for or what they are. That's none of their business. What next?

I want them for jewelry, them's purtier.

wow, that's harsh wrestling_135. reading posts like this all the time is what made me not get enough courage to search halves yet. I am still stuck doing dimes and nickels because at least I usually always get something.
Rest in Peace

Two-three times a month I take them ice cream so they are REALLY glad to see me and I take ice cream for everyone there, not just the teller that takes care of me.

About a month ago, Kroger reduced the price on 6 oz cups of icicle cream from $1.09 to 4/$1.

Now when I go in for dialysis, I take in a couple bucks worth to the vampires.

My record is $10k in skunks so far. And I been doing this since 2009. Have seen some people on skunk runs as long as $25-$30K. This hobby isn't for everyone.

I don't know if I could stomach a $10K skunk streak. That would be tough!

I don't know if I could go that long! I have only just started (at least since the 70s) of going through halves (and nickels too). I've gone through 1500.00 so far and found 2 in each box! plus a 2008 proof and many other halves in very good shape. I think the 2 per box has keep me going, if I didn't find any I don't think I'd go on but you never know! Hope everyone finds some!

That is what I call dedication.

I have yet to search a box. I quite searching rolls in the 1990's when my "inside girl" left the bank where I got my rolls from.

Did anyone ever get an email from Ricardo? Wanted to follow up on that "theory".

Would love a forwarded copy if anyone got it.

Well, she was my girlfriend at the time, so there was no jealous wife to worry about.

The best I can hope for now is a niece or nephew entering the job market soon.

She always did good by me. I taught her want to look for and she always kept it aside for me. The branch she worked at was very close to where I worked. I would taker her to lunch, she would sell me rolls. It was win-win!

I decided to try half dollars for the first time today and it definately was not a good experience. I only picked up $100 but the rolls were all marked. I dont mind not getting any silver but come on. I didn't even bother searching the rolls. It'll be a while before I try this again.
