Out of $2 worth from a teller's tray, I found three silvers: 1964, 1966, and 1967. Also, two weeks ago, I found a 1964 out of a tray.

I to have one of those gold toned Kennedy halves with the 1960 and 1984 stamped on it. Here is some trivia regarding it. They were sold as a novelty gimmick back in the day, incredibly priced at 5.99 and yes they are plated with 24 Karat gold. I've seen in previous threads people say oh, how could they do that to a coin, etc. Well, apparently it was ok, and I think they are pretty cool actually, and kind of fun to find. 1960-1980 is to commemorate Kennedy's 20th anniversary of his inauguration. 1960-1985 represents the 25th.

I have not posted my results of late. Last week from 9 boxes I found 33 silver - 8 64's and 25 40%'s. This week I am through 5 of 7 boxes and have found 17 silver - 5 64's, a 60 P Franklin (hole filler) and 11 40%'s.

Picked up about $160, bagged, at a local bank (skunked.) They said to come back in a week and they'd have counted about $700 more - they just needed to confirm it through the machine. Picked 'em up yesterday... skunked again. (2 2002's are hardly even worth mentioning.)
As I was leaving she mentioned that they originally had $3,000 but some had been shipped out. It's gotta be someone else's dump bank. Too bad - I found a Franklin in their teller tray long time ago and always considered them to be a decent bank.

Amazing finds smokerideron! You too Nobis1! Could you tell me what kind of rolls you guys get? S&S or Brinks, etc.? I've heard (more than once) the brinks guys go through and get the silver. Also a big thanks to everything for the info.

The rumor that runs rampant through this site and others is that Brinks searches their rolls. They do not search dimes in my area (as I have found Mercs and silver Roosies) and in the very few times I searched Brinks rolls, I found a few 40%'s. In my view, it is luck, pure and simple. There have been many weeks I find nothing and waste time/gas dumping halves. Other weeks I find good coins.
