Quote: Well, it could happen because I am sending that 1973 D with white paint or whiteout rubbed into the reeded edge back into my dump bank. Here is a shot of that coin between some 40% and 90% halves. This has to be the work of a roll hunter jokester.

I finally got my 3 boxes after the bank messed up ordering them.
Box 1 3 1964's and 1 40% and a couple of NIFC to fill my album.
Box 2 a couple of NIFC already in the album.
Box 3 1 1964 and 1 40% and a few more NIFC already in my album.
My first box ever was 17 40%ers and if these odds continue I will need at least 2 boxes a week in order to come out ahead.
Happy hunting.

Quote: Put that coin in a glass and shake it lightly. That is the best way to seperate the halves of the coin. If it fits tight and comes apart correctly it has about the same value as a 90% half. It sure is a Magicians coin. Found another yesterday. a 1971. That's 2 in 3 boxes. I can rotate the reverse but can't get them to separate.

I did 2 more boxes this weekend and found 9 silver. 1 64' and 8 40%. My weekly total was 58 silver. 3 64' and 55 40%. A lot of that was an awesome bank find.
I took some pics with my new digital camera, but I am having a devil of a time loading them. My desktop includes the drive it comes from (C, D etc.) in the picture name and the website will not accept the picture because of the name. My IPad and Itouch don't allow me to upload and my smartphone will not work for the download. Frustrating. If I can get it to work, I will post. Until next week...

Try a razor sharp knife and gently pry the obverse out.

Names for pix should include numbers and letters only.

Thanks Chuckster. 27 of those were from $53 face from a local bank. Bank finds are rare here, so I was psyched. I have been doing your 8 box thing for a while.
Biggfredd - I did not include anything but letters and numbers in the name, but my computer assigns letters and symbols to the filename based on it's location in the computer's hard drive. My ipad, itouch and smartphone will not upload to this site. It is frustrating.

I found a 66 at the grocery store and pulled this poor pathetic thing out of a box. Who treats a silver proof like this? WHO?

Hate to see scratched proofs like that! Went through 4 boxes and only found 2 40% and a 1990 S proof. Hoping this week will be better.
