Wrestling, you have had some bad luck bro. Ever consider trying dimes? When I have hit long droughts (I once went through 25 boxes and found only a single silver), I will go and get some dime boxes to try and break the streak. They usually have 1-2 per box. Also, I think location has a lot to do with it. Given where you said you are, I would focus on off the beaten path banks.
Today was a fun hunting day. I am in a large metropolitan area, so I have largely given up on stopping in banks for customer rolls of halves. Customer rolls have dried up this year. But, for kicks and giggles I stopped at a local bank on the way to the post office. The main teller has given me some nice silver in the past. When I walked in, she grinned from ear to ear and said "I hoped you would come by soon." The other teller received $53 in halves yesterday. When she pulled them out I could see lots of white edges and hear silver. I ended up with 27 40% silver Kennedys.
I also searched 6 boxes this week and found 22 silver. 2 64' Kennedys and 20 40%'s. Until next week, good luck all.

I did 27 rolls today that complete 2 boxes or 2 skunks this week , I have 2 more boxes this week as I dont want to do more then 4 boxes weekly because I had enough to realize my area sucks as it was too searched before I started !
Couple of months ago I found one bank out of my area that ll order me $1000 bags if I open a account with them but I have to drive 50miles to go and 50 miles to come back what ll take me about a hour and 20 minutes and about $7 to $8 in gas .
I had only searched one bag from them and the results = 3x90%,4x40% what was not so impressive as I found better boxes betwin dozens of skunked boxes so I have a question for who has experience with both boxes and bags :
It would worth my afford to go there least once a week to grab a bag ? I remember couple member who used to post on this tread used to search bags but I have not seen them around since awhile but maybe if you see my quaestion I ll apreciate any replay as my experience of a lonely bag is not enough for any conclusion .. Should I give a shot or there is not difference on bags or boxes ?!?!
In one of my banks where I canceled a weekly special order of 4 boxes of halves my main teller told me that she talked to the brinks delivery truck guy if they search for silver snd the man answered that they have no access to the coins and it would be impossible to them to do it on the truck as they delivery it but he said the people who work at the wraping facility YES they oick the silver out for them selves and he also said he goes to my dump banks and get the halves bags and take it to be rolled at the facility to wrap and later supply her bank with the boxes for my order ! He said when brinks receive a order of halves boxes from a bank they know is someone looking for silver (lol).

So again is there anybody who can tell me anything about the bags : if should try or not ? The bag I searched didnt have any note saying which bank or where it came from so I doubt the bag was from a coin counter but from the fed or I dont know ?!.

How would you like to open a roll and see this?



Well, it could happen because I am sending that 1973 D with white paint or whiteout rubbed into the reeded edge back into my dump bank. Here is a shot of that coin between some 40% and 90% halves. This has to be the work of a roll hunter jokester.


I have been getting a little too much attention at the dump credit union branches so I took a couple of weeks off and cut my weekly order from 4 boxes to 1. My box this week was a flat one. The bank has switched from Brinks to Loomis according to my teller. The second roll had two 40%. One 1964 and 5 90% for the box, can't complain about that.

I have only found two Franklins ever, let alone a Walker. Heck my skunk streak is over $20,000 that is probably why. You all are so lucky, real cool though, congrats!

Not exactly a circulation find, but I bought a bunch of silver halves the other day from a young lady. Three of them had clear tape on one side.

I explained that the source was punch boards. A board is about 1x2' codbod. The lower portion has 2500 holes drilled through the board, each with a numbered strip of paper rolled in it, which is "punched out" when you buy a bet. The top is a display of coins in recessed holes, with a big piece of sticky plastic covering the entire section.

If your ticket number matches the winning number on the coin, you win it, cut out from the plastic.

We used to sell a lot of coins to guys providing the boards to bars and bingo halls. Like 10 rolls of IHC, V nix, and Buffs and hundreds of $silver a week. One time, we sold 2500 dateless buffs for 14¢ each (62.5 rolls).
