Has anyone considered posting pictures of their boxes, and rolls, before going through them?

By doing so, and adding the carrier, it might be easier for others to identify their particular
boxes. Then, comparisons could be made by different users from different parts of the country
with a basis others could reference.

Maybe I can start it by posting pictures later this week of my next two boxes. Personally, I have not
yet officially found who they are from but will be sure to ask this week.

Chuck.

i have received a total of 11 of the black/white knock-off boxes and found a total of 16 silver over all those.

i have received a total of 43 of the string yellow/white boxes and found a total of 57 silver over all those boxes.

the rest of the other 150+ boxes were brown/white rolls
with a total of over 350 silver finds.

i have picked up both types of these flat boxes from 2 different couriers at 2 different banks. I don't think it makes any difference, all couriers have a central depository where these come from, it's just random what you get.

Bishftl,

My rolls are like the yellow-and-white wrapped ones in your last picture. This noted, mine do not
come in flat boxes; they come in deeper boxes comprised of two layers of 25 rolls each.

Bishftl, I bet your black rolls will reward more silver than the yellow. that is what I've seen anyways.

i rarely get the black rolls, I've only found 16 in 11 boxes.
My regular boxes are double stacked square with brown rolls. That's where all of last weeks finds came from.

$12 in loose halves produced my very first proof: a 1999. I included two pictures, but the quality sucks so I apologize. I took these during the nighttime. Is this proof a silver or clad? If it is clad, I am not keeping it because of its poor condition.

looks clad, I think all silver are dcams. weighing it won't work. drop it on anything solid, you should be able to tell.

What is a "dcam"? I did drop it and it sounds different but it's hard to tell. The edge of the whole coin doesn't appear to have that brown copper color and I can't seem to find a mintmark, unless it faded off. And why won't weighing the coin work?

the clad and silver weight the same. if you have another silver, compare the sound dropping it on another clad.
also the edge is usually quite thicker than normal halves.

I went back to where I found all the silver last week. They only had one roll left (another CWR), but it had 2 40%. That's 25 40% and 1 90% from one bank!

I also found a couple of new banks in a town near it. Most of them were skunks, but one had 3 40% and a 2000-S clad proof! The teller even said, "I know there's silver here." Nice lady.

It does sound different when I drop it but I am still not fully convinced. I am going to take it to my local coin shop tomorrow to find out. I think there's a 65% chance it is silver.
