I haven't given an update in quiet awhile. Probably because I haven't had much to report...lol. It's been dry as a bone for me. I haven't found silver in the last 6 boxes. I did find a box with 5 proofs but they were pretty beat up. Rescued but not sure what to do with them. I have 3 more boxes coming on Thursday...7 come 11 baby!

$170 in yellow and white rolls yielded one 1964 and one 1969!

Picked up $50 in CWR from my credit union today. Teller said she thought one of you guys may have already gone through them. I said what they hey and grabbed them anyway. Just pulled a 2002-D out of the second roll. Aside from them not being meant for circulation, anything special?

If anyone finding full rolls of NIFC's are willing to trade, I have plenty of Gem Silver proofs 1964-1970. let me know. Maybe we can work something out. I especially need 2008's.

any but 2003, 2004, as long as they're BU. I just pulled 3 rolls of 2003-04's yesterday.

Nice finds everyone.
Bish, how is BU defined? I know it means "brilliant uncirculated", but what is the grading definition? No scratches? etc...? Thanks

this is typically what condition I find them in. even this is re-sellable mostly looking for something along these lines if not better this is probably considered choice BU compared to gem BU

Wow, those are outstanding!
Usually, at best, my shiny ones have scratches around the circumference and scratches on the cheekbones.
In my region, we really don't get any that clean.
Thanks, Bish

Hope to have two boxes coming next Thursday. Hopefully they will be the yellow and white ones which have been pretty good to me overall.

Have been enjoying my nickel hunt while waiting on halves but I got a wonderful suprise today. You can read the long version in the "The Goal:25,000 rolls of nickels". 1942S silver nickel, 19? Buffalo, etc. But since this is the halves thread, well, I can't say I have found more silver yet but I have enough 1996 and 2000 halves in BU to sell a few rolls. I also have a BU roll of 2005P NIFC in Gem state. I went in for nickels but once I told them I love to collect and search coins they brought out everything they had including the full roll of BU halves. I am hoping to get my photo setup done this next week in Garner. That way you can all see some of my finds. I appreciate seeing what everyone is posting so will try my best to start posting my pics soon. These 2005 halves are more beautiful than anything I have ever seen! They look flawless! Deep shine, sharp ridges and orangy edges from the new copper in them. My 2 boxes of halves are supposed to be in around 2pm so I guess I'd better get some sleep for now. Happy hunting everyone!
