Increasing the stakes this week!

Got 12 boxes on order for this week.

Since I only found 3 coins over the last 2 weeks and went through 12 boxes for that time period, I figure I'll
double it for this one week and "FORCE" a monster box to show itself! (LOL)

Pungod, you're in the same boat I'm in. What I do is only stop by the bank when it's on my way or when I have an errand in that area. Since you're not really seeing much silver and are accumulating other losses, take your time, don't go out of your way. This will cut your losses if you want to continue roll hunting.

Skipped my weekly box last week because I was busy. This week, the weekly box yielded some SILVER!
5x 1964
1x 1965
4x 1968

It also yielded a couple proofs: 1981S and 2004S
As well as a bunch of NIFCs!

Pretty excited since I haven't pulled silver in a while.

Picked up my four boxes and saw this.....had high hopes for more 90% but after weighing the rolls it seems my only hopes are for some 40%ers once I dive in. Regardless...a nice way to start!

If you search on this forum you will see my study on weight of rolls and how it can give you a clue a roll MIGHT have silver in it. 90% coins are easy to pick out in a roll as I have yet to find a roll with a 90% coin in it to weigh less than 226.7 grams and all copper cladrolls rarely weight more than 226.6 grams

Pungod, The stock market averaged 11 to 12% (over a 30 year period) just a few years ago. Now it averages 10 to 11%. I know you're basing this off the rhetorical information found on most low cost investment discussion boards, websites, etc...

The fact of the matter is, we haven't had enough '30 year periods' to conclusively say we won't have a 30 year period where the stock market averages less than 10 or 12%. We are well on our way to a 30 year period where we don't average anywhere near that amount right now. I'm not saying I've abandoned having a 'diversified portfolio' of stocks, but I'm actively looking for additional means of saving. If it "hits the fan" as some predict, having the stores of silver will be a great thing. People who think I'm crazy for sorting clad will be wishing they didn't miss the boat if silver climbs to $100/ounce.

Oh, and to keep this on topic, I finished sorting my last $1500 and found a 1987D. I've edge searched another $500 and continue to find no silver
