BernieZ,
What a find there. I am waiting to see the official grade and how well he has made out.
BTW, the 1909 VDB S is the penny I have wanted since I was a teenager but have never had the extra cash to fork out for one comfortably.

Nice finds, everyone!
Kenscott, pretty cool, huh? I am waiting for the grading too, and some decent pictures.
I have a story about the 1909 vdb. I went through thousands of pennies, both boxes and bags, and after all that, I found a 1909 vdb I already had in my old collection, before I got back into collecting this year. it's not an 's', only worth $9 or so, but glad I have it!

Drove around town today, and hit the coin shop. I then went by a couple of banks, and got skunked at first. Finally, I found a 40% and a 1974S proof. Not bad. The box I ordered comes in tomorrow..

I went to the bank and got the box I ordered, except it wasn't a box. It was a deposit bag. Every other branch's dumps. The tellers rolled the coins for me, and I could quickly tell it was all clad. Half of them were marked. I just weighed the rolls to make sure, and only one was overweight. It had a 1985 Swiss 2 Franc coin! I dumped those rolls and went by some other banks. All I found was a 1986 Statue of Liberty half, covered in brown polyurethane!

I just picked up another box of half dollars to search tonight and I hope I can add to these, but this is what I found in my last box. Thats a '43 walking liberty, a 1990 proof and a 2010. The gold one looks like it was painted. the color rubs off.. but it is interesting none the less. the Peso was in a nickel roll.

Hard to type with crossed fingers. I just picked up 2 boxes from a new bank in a different region. I will post pictures tonight. By the way, found my second walker in a CWR. Man the silver stands out in the clad!
