Searched 2 boxes and $140 in CWR's. I found 6 NIFC and a roll of 1993D BU. This brings me to my question: I am silly enough to save the NIFC, what do you guys think about keeping the 1993D BU's? Bear in mind I plan to hoard for 30 years.

BernieZ,
I have two 1909 VDBs I purchased when I was a teenager. I figure I have had these around 25-30 years.
As for the value of a VDB, I think you are in the ballpark of $9 for a mid-grade coin that has not been cleaned. Whatever, DO NOT clean your VDBs seeing how it drops the value to about half of what they bring uncleaned.

Pungod,
I would try to sell the 1993Ds on E-Bay and take what profit I made and purchase a 1964 or the like.

BTW, here are some pictures of the 1972D NO FG coin I found a few boxes ago. I hope the pictures are clear and you can see the missing FG on the back. I took my jewelers loupe to it after checking it with my Bausch & Lomb 10X I bought from my local coin shop. There is absolutely any sign of the FG at all. Seeing how the FG is often worn into oblivion, I had to be absolutely sure I wasn't making the wrong call.

well boxes 34 and 35 were skunks, landed one 1987 d, my best looking 87 so far, thats 5 or 6, 87's in 35 boxes. got 8 more boxes this week, wish me luck, and good luck to everyone else this week.
Hey pungod, throw that in your stash box, and when you get a roll, roll up by year. I'm doing the same. I only save bu coins from 2002 or newer, but only one roll of each year and if I find a really nice bu thats older I save them, but only the best nicest ones. I'm in the same boat as you, long term pay off, I dont want to be saving a bunch of clad halves with the volume I search, but cant throw a gem back. I'm only saving one roll each of 2002 and newer. I do have some rolls of older, 1976, 1979, and a few others, just one roll each, if I find a nice one I aleady have a roll of I check the roll for a cull, I dont even bother with bicentenials anymore Iv got about a nice of roll as you can have.

Two boxes due Thursday for me. I need to check some other local banks and see if they might order them for me as well.
For that matter, I should check other local branches of the bank that now orders them for me. Hopefully, they will order me some as well but on different days.

I got the best box so far since I stated 3 months ago. I opened it and saw a 1957D right on top and two other rolls had 40% on top. Ended up with 1 Franklin, 2 64's and 39 40%. It was alot of fun. The box had an extra stamp on it that I have not seen in the past. It must be a kind of inventory stamp or something. Totals for this box: 57D 1x 64 2x 65 2x 66 6x 67 16x 68 6x 69 9x

I pulled these out of my last box. The '64 was on the end of a roll looking up at me when I opened the box. Definitely worth the $5 they charged me for the box!
