I went through a fed box today and $250.00 in customer rolls yesterday and they rendered nothing for me. I have to agree with the earlier posts about the Brinks boxes also, I'd say the last six or eight boxes I got had nothing. Thursday I get 2 Brinks boxes and 2 Fed boxes, I hope they're a little better.

Went through 2 fed boxes tonight and found "zero" silver. Most current date in either box was 2000.

Silver is still available in boxes- Today I picked up 2 fed boxes and 2 Brinks boxes (2 different banks)
Total count from all 4 (all 4 did produce silver)-

23 40%ers
6 1964s
1 1963 nice condition
2 walkers worn of dates
1 1971 S mint mark
1 1973 gold plated

It seems that the losing streak I was having with the Brinks boxes finally broke- 5 64s and a bunch of the 40%ers came from those 2

I got my first skunk box yesterday. I should complain, since I have pulled 15 silvers out of the previous two boxes (mostly 40%s).

I picked up five rolls this afternoon. To my surprise, they were casino rolls from Atlantic City. Wow, what a beat up bunch of coins! But I did find two 40%, so all is well. I then went to my bank to order a box, and the head teller said that she couldn't order halves as the FRB won't send them! I think I need to try another branch.

Today after more than 400,000 halves searched this past year I finally found the elusive 1970-s. Heck I got the 70-d about 200,000 back and have found most the other proofs including the 94 and 95 silver halves but just couldn't get this one. Came out of a brinks box that had a dozen silvers including a couple of Bens and an 87-s and 72-s and a 73-s that looked like they just came from Grampa collection. Guess they are still out there just seems to take four times as many boxes to get the silver I was getting just a year ago.

I think all the misers like me are realizing they can make a buck and stripping the silver out of the boxes!

Just the luck of the draw to get those pre 64s. I pulled seven Walkers from a box one day. I think I got a full roll of them that day from several boxes. They dump the $1000 bags into the rolling machine and fill the boxes and if you are the lucky...one day I pulled six absolute BU 63 Bens. They were as mint as you could get...made me wish I'd had a couple more boxes as I know there was a role of those dumped by someone who didn't know better.

hahaww man that's amazing! hopefully I can get a box like that! although I was stoked with the 12 40%s, thats BY FAR my best, which I guess is pretty sad......
oh and yesterday I went to three banks to pick up customer rolls on the way to my main banks. They had about $2,300 all together and each time they brought em out, they had an X on them and I'm like cussin in my head when I got them, but I did get a whole bunch of NIFC's, which I guess is alright.

That's a tough load of halves to have to get. I am lucky because my dump bank takes as many $1000 bags as I want and they count them out back and email me the total in about an hour. My strategy is to take everything, and the tellers are so glad when I take the crap away. They seem to save the good rolls for me when they come in. You just never know. I had a good day a couple weeks ago when I picked up 10 solid rolls of 40% - most were dated and another mixed with various 90% bens and kennedys. Maybe you will get the same luck after taking that load of halves.

I like it best when the tellers thank you profusely about taking these pesky halves from them - and when you open up the rolls - solid silver. I've had that happen a number of times. It is hard to believe that they hand you a couple hundred dollars in silver value and are so happy to see you take it. Not that I'm complaining!
