The reason they do not want boxes of rolled halves is because they have to unroll them and put them in plastic bags and send them off to be counted. This cost them money and time. I have put many many $$ in plastic bags gave them to the bank and they send them off to be counted and then credit my account in a few days. We all need to accommodate the banks as much as possible or little by little they are going to stop accommodating us and be driven to charging for boxes.

I understand their point trapper, I wasnt complaining, in over 100 boxes and 6 monthes this is the only time its happend. my 2 dump banks have over 80 branches around town, I'm all over town working all day anyway, in the 6 monthes iv been doing this only hit the same branch to dump maybe 2-3 times over 6 monthes, maybe 2-3 branches, I spread them out.
i would do the bags in a second if I could declare that amount and get my $$$ right then, the problem for me is 2 things. #1 dont trust brinks counting, and afraid they would say I'm off by alot, and the bigger one is I need the money for my next pick up.

Ken, I'd highly recommend that you don't bring any back to your pick up bank....even a single roll. There's a case around here where the bank eventually cut off every CRH because one person brought them back to the bank after the search. Plan things out carefully and you will be in this for long run.

Not only did I promise my "pick up" branch manager that I would NEVER bring coins back to that branch, I also assured her that I thought it would be very rude of anyone doing so. After all, the bank is doing me a favor which costs them for incoming coins. No sense making them pay for returning them too.
The hidden benefit... they have now emptied their vault of "low turnover" coins at no cost. They just sold it all to me! I didn't find any silver, but at least I felt I was helping to pay my way.

I have not taken any back in months to the issuing bank. In fact, I have even been a bit hesitant to order the halves seeing how it started as an experiment I wanted to try.
For the head teller to even keep ordering is really nice. This being said, I do plan on doing more business with them and a bit less with my CU.

2 boxes yesterday, were skunks, and 17.50 in cwr skunks, hopefully it picks up later this week for me.

I have a question. I've found probably 40 Kennedy Proofs since I began roll searching. Never any big spills. The most I found was probably 4 in a single box. I've never received one that appeared to be silver. Do the silver proofs have the same solid whitish silver edge that the other silver coins have? Would you say its common to find that many and none be silver? I just want to know if I need to go back and weigh all my proofs to see if some are silver.

$70 CWR had zero, but my first 2 of 10 boxes were a bit better than average. will post totals after next 8.

Hey oo, those silver proofs will pop just like 90%, nice silver rim, they will be 1992 or newer, never found one in rolls, but I own a few. Most of my proofs came from that dump I got in 4 boxes over 2 weeks, none were silver, I got about all of them from 71-current except for maybe 8-9, and all clad none of the silvers from 92 on.

I have found a nice amount of proofs over my 24 or so boxes. It seemed most came in batches.
As for them not being silver, yes, I think most will be clad. The silver will be the exception. As for the white edge, yes, it will be the same as other 90% halves. If in doubt, weigh them and go by weight.
BTW, I found a 2007D which seemed to have a pure white edge but turned out to be clad. This is the first time I recall having such a coin which looked dead-on silver from the edge but which turned out to be clad.
