We didn't see any processing of half dollars. But a simple sensor checking for the presence of sensor could do a very high speed sort right in the line. It would be no more sophisticated than the sensors in vending machines. Come to think of it, the Coinstar machine showed just such a sensor, which could easiuly be reset to detect silver.

The video said that Coinstar had it's own proprietary property to handle their coin counting.
Also, I think we all know to check the Coinstar machines seeing how they spit out silver.

As for Brinks, I do not know if they use similar technology or not. I do know the last two boxes
that had silver were delivered by Brinks but I do think they were packaged by Strings and Sons.

My fingers are crossed that I continue to get silver out of these slightly different boxes. I am going to
ask for four boxes this week and will have to do something for the tellers. This being said, I was planning
on doing something for them anyway a bit different than donuts or the like. I actually thought about Hershey candy bars, but smiling tellers would have chocolate on their teeth. :)

I don't understand why I'm being ganged up on by two crook members on these forums. That picture that I just posted was from the dream box I just got recently, and so many people try to bash on it and say it's not real and that I am lying. It was supposd to be bishftl's box, but he didn't pick it up and switched banks. You have no right to put words in my mouth like that, that's such BS! There is no pride or integrity on these forums, as well as the vulgar I have to be subjected to. Grow up children.

I hope you realize that the kidding around is riffing off a less-than-believable writer on page 763 who said he'd brought home $24,000 in halves.

As for being ganged up on by two specific members, I have no dog in this hunt. But perhaps an outsider can render some assistance?

Are you the person who left a roll of proofs for one writer here to find? If my memory on that is correct, I don't think many people understand you. The very first question to you was, why would you do that. I don't recall seeing a logical answer. Without an answer, I'm kinda left with the conclusion you're doing something unusual. And, "unusual" is usually bad. I suspect everyone else following this is thinking the same thing.

Next.... We're all pretty anonymous here, and now you've identified a member personally, and add to that you're being "unusual." So that's gotta be feeling a little creepy for him.

And finally, you picked up a box and touted the findings as though to make this person feel bad.

I can't imagine you realized others see things this way, but if you think about it, it makes sense.

Try to start over. It's a good and helpful group that visit here.

I don't search for silver. But I enjoy reading about all the finds. It is a shame that after 775 pages this thread has been hijacked by nonsense! Regardless of whatever transgressions have occurred lets just move on and be adults.

jwguts, to answer all of your questions: I was simply trying to explain something in a friendly manner about an amazing box I picked up, and got called a liar and a punk, and then had words put in my mouth. I don't understand it. I stumbled across a post on this thread saying a member saw me at the bank while I was depositing coins, as I bring my coins in bags, so now every time I go into my main dump bank, the tellers will always mention something about him. I had saved a couple rolls of proof coins from CRHing, and then it dawned on me I have no use for them, and so I deposited them at my main dump bank in rolls. My next visit, the tellers again tell me about the member on these forums, and how he was happy to receive such a large amount of proofs. I'm not trying to creep or do anything of that nature, just trying to be friendly. Jesus christ.

Some craziness on this thread of late... Searched 3 boxes and found one lonely 67'. The dry spell continues for me.

I haven't posted on here in a few months, I think. I've been doing really well in upstate NY. I recently found almost 100 halves total in a 10 box spree. So, the story of the $24,000 may be true.

I wonder what coin roll hunting in Alaska is like, there's probably sooo much silver in circulation there.

Alaska? Great idea. Wonder if the bank is willing to mail out coins with us paying postage. Has anyone tried to do that? They can just deduct it out of our accounts.
