SUGGESTION: When I'm returning my halves at the machine and a parent comes up behind me with a youngster, I always start looking for a bicentennial half to give the kid. The fun I get out of the happiness of both the kid and the parent is always worth 50 cents to me! If you're not already doing it, try it!

Isn't there a moderator on these forums to handle situations where the thread gets improperly hijacked?

Asolutely...some of the best mods on the interwebs! If need be they will intervine. Most members self regulate...part of the beauty of CCF.

I did not realize there was a separate section for roll hunting now. I guess I missed it when they were moved. So I posted my half dollar finds in another thread. Is there any that it can be moved here? https://goccf.com/t/122416

I moved your post to this forum, but I cannot add it to this thread. It is okay on its own with the link you provided above.

Got a box Thursday that was a nice change. 6 40%ers and a 1963 Franklin.

due to large volumes of deposits going into banks recently, what was once free is now being charged deposit fees. to those enjoying fee-less dumping, good luck and hope it continues in your area.

Another 4 Boxes done today, not one silver. Thats a total now of 10000$ this last month with nothing to show for it. Thinking about taking a break.

One bank teller had about $7 in loose halves and one of them was a 1967. I need one more 40% and I can make another roll.

Bish, sorry to hear this. I guess lots of folks in your area probably dump at the same bank. Costs add up, it won't take long to raise flag on their reports. I hope they won't charge you too much. With your consistent finds, it could be cheaper than buying them out right from coin shops.
