I'm on the verge of quitting altogether. with the thousands of $ being dumped at my main bank every day by @#$%#@%R$, all I get are those same coins back again. I am in the middle of 10K worth and have 5 silver to show for it. and that's not what I mainly look for. can't find any NIFC BU PROOF of any kind anymore. and I rely on those to pay the rent, it looks like the end is near.

Don't give up Bish! Wait for the amateurs to give up! Once the silver thins, they'll leave and it'll all be us again! You're such an inspiration to us here on JFK HDRH's, hang in there! You'll find a way.

Went to an older credit union today that I used to have an account with. They are very strict with transacting with non-customers. .... Anyways - I started a conversation with the teller while he was looking for my old account to see if it existed (it did not) and I asked about halves and where they get them - he said they get their coins directly from the Fed and even made a point to clarify that they don't deal with "the branches" - he also said that the halves that are in their vault haven't been touched in a looong time because, and I quote "Nobody ever wants them." needless to say my mouth is watering, however a "long time" can't be that long considering their new corporate headquarters was only built 4 years ago. The personal banker girl that opens accounts was dealing with what sounded like a mess and I didn't have time to wait to get my account open with a big $5 investment (mom was watching the kids - you know how that is I'm sure-lol) So I am DEFINITELY going back tomorrow - kids in tow.... A couple of questions for Bish, Wrestling, and the other heavy hitters if anyone knows - whats the difference between "the fed" and a "fed branch" - I always thought it was the same
- The name is Lormet Community Federal Credit Union - their field of membership is Lorain County located in Ohio (near cleveland) - Do "Federal Credit Unions" have any significance regarding where they pull coin from?
- Have you noticed a difference in silver finds from one of these FCU's if you've used one?
- and I guess this is the million $ question - in your opinion - What would be the optimal scenario to pull silver from one of these FCU's - if they indeed are pulling from a place that hasn't seen much activity due to exclusivity of membership
Thanks in advance - strategy is everything, but luck and location play a huge role - and everyone knows... luck favors the PREPARED! ps - I picked up another one of my own dumps AGAIN (second time I've seen these) from a bank clear across town today, but they had a few Ike's - all 1972P's - haven't checked for type II's yet....

I'm sure you all remember the member who has been dumping painted crap and all the bs that took place. i don't even know the guy and I knew from the get go he was an *** Edited by Staff | The bad word filter is in place for a reason. Bypassing the filter and making the intended word obvious anyway is completely unacceptable. ***, people with money usually are, but this is absolutely pathetic and unnecessary. no wonder he won't show his face her anymore. before and after. all the NIFC are worth $2+ to me and I used to find hundreds. there is no way this guy is going to quit dumping there and it's getting worse every week. i did however make arrangements to buy 10k from 1 of the banks where he gets his boxes, just for fun. he's either finding a lot of coin or he has absolutely no life. I'm pretty sure it's the latter. and i'll be sure to dump them right back where they came from, it's a one time deal for me anyways.

Sorry to dissappoint lonz, but your coins will be delivered by brinks,loomis,garda,dunbar....etc, they wont be any special untouched coins. That credit union has a vault/virtual vault, somewhere, and one of the armored trucks, deliveries their cash/ currency, and packages/rolls it for them.
Maybe try and get bags, if you can, but it is almost certain the coins will be delivered by one of the trucks. Not to say that branch doesn't have some boxes that have been sitting in their vault for a while.
Even if they credit union technically has a different virtual vault, then the other banks, all the armored car company will due is deliver what was ordered, from wherever their particular route goes the day(s) they visit that credit union, then on paper, all cash will be accounted for at the end of the day.
PS, I just dumped 4000$ in your area.....lol......sorry, was visiting from out of town. I'm 3 hours away.

@ Halfhunter Well... at least I know... I'm still gonna try to dust off those halves in their vault tomorrow. Also... (if you don't mind me asking) What city did you dump in? If it was Lorain..... ......which bank(s) did you dump at? Loose or Rolled? So I can avoid like the plague... lol

Haha lonz, avoid the cwr at chase and huntington on loraine road, closer to north olmstead, dropped 2000$ at each location, just those 2 branhces. The huntington said they had a "guy" that would be real excited when they called to tell him about those coins coming in. My mom used to live in loraine, now she is back by north olmstead. I was supposed to get 8 boxes from her credit union, where her mortgage and accounts are, but I didnt let her know in time to get them ordered. I'm gonna try and order in a month or 2 next time I'm back.
Do you get the marked coins with a black line across the face?Do you get the ones with the black V on the back usually? Those are the 2 big time marks I get down this way, they are not mine, I rarely mark anything. Reason I ask is I saw on another board, a guy in ky had pictures and got the same marks, and he is easily 2 hours from me, he also got a monster box the same day I got mine, I know its the same coin batch, because those coins were very green and moldy, he got the twin box of mine, my other box that day was a skunk. Crazy how these coins travel.
good luck with those halves, I hope you get something good, or get into a good pallet.

Good luck figuring something out bish. The other problem you got, is the 20 other guys in your town, ordering 2 boxes a week, and mixing those coins up between carriers.

the biggest problem I have is with the marks being put on those specific coins on purpose, so that I would find them. just like when he left the proof coins at the bank for me, just another way to taunt me with his good fortunes. what a jerkoff
