the walker is also my favorite design of all coins. and with the dry spell in my area, finding the liberty's always makes up for a few skunks.

4 boxes today, 9 40%ers and a '64. Also 3 proofs. Lost another pickup bank, seems like this particular bank is clamping down. Time to get WF and PNC to expand their ordering operations for me.

79, 84, and 2000. Tossed 'em in rolls, god knows I've got enough proofs as is. None were particularly nice.

Quote: ken scott Quote: By the way, has anyone had experience with a bank that uses DUNBAR? I saw them delivering to a local, small chain earlier this week and my interest was peeked.
Hey did you ever figure anything out about dunbar? I was turning left at a light wednesday, and straight ahead I saw dunbar pull out, I'm pretty sure there is a small credit union there, and also one of my part time dumo banks. NExt week I'm going to explore the situation. I'm 99% sure that dump bank is brinks city wide. have only actually used that branch to dumo once. So heres what I have figured out, either dunbar was just doing a vendor drop at one of the two places, or they service that credit union, or for some reason they service that particular branch. IF its the credit union it still may not help me, bnecause I dont live in that county, my work is right there though, usually those credit unions you need to live in their county to be a member. I finally saw them at a bank though, so I'm gonna see what I can find out.

a bunch of you guys are killing it this week on finds, I'm nervous for my first skunk week in sometime. All my finds last week, came in my first three boxes. My early 4 this week stunk, so I am currently on a 12 box skunk streak, I am hoping my 8 boxes today save the week.

SilverCoinPicker, Awesome as usual for you. You always seem to kill it with your cwr's. I went on a road trip East, all the way to Harrison, AR. I stopped at everything from mom and pop type banks to the big boys. Probably 25 stops all together. I found 1, uno, one lonely 1969D in the entire trip, and that was my second to last bank. You talk about discouraged. I guess I need to holler at you next time before I go on a trip so you can give me those tips. Good luck and happy hunting.

Fade,
I know what you mean about finding the nice WL's in circulation. I found 2 really nice one's in a box, probably a year ago. Believe they were 42 and 43. I don't know what they would grade but they are the two nicest examples of WL's I have, and I've purchased quite a few. My heart skipped a beat.

Out of 5 boxes over the past two weeks, I got: 1 - 40%er 10- 1964s!
Sadly, 4 out of the 5 were total skunks.
I'm looking to start trading some of my 40%ers for 90%ers or even ASEs. I guess no one would want to do that though. Maybe I'll have to sell them outright somewhere and buy what I want. Ideas?
No halves for me this week. The teller who orders them for me is out. I guess I'll try to pick up a couple boxes of dimes or go to another branch were I can also get dimes.

Worst week for sometime now.
12 boxes (2) 40% 2 proofs 1 lucky 7 color coin 2008, 1 elvis gets married color coin 2010 about 3 rolls of nifc
Been deer hunting alot the last few weeks, so my wife has been helping me do some pick ups. One of my pick ups told her for me to call monday, said they were switching carriers didnt know if she could get half boxes for me anymore. Odd I get coins from 2 other branches, and havnt heard anything. The manager at this branch practically runs to grab the door, and open my truck door for me, and IV had 15 minute conversations with him in the parking lot. I dont know if that is true and this branch is switching carriers or if they are trying to be nice to me and get rid of my orders. I set my self up already at another completely different bank to add 4 boxes next week, so I was supposed to be at 16, but I may still be at 12. We will see whats going on I will be calling her at 9:05 monday before she orders for the week. I figure my relationship is strong enough that they would be honest to me, if it was a cost thing.
Allright, well good luck to everyone this week.

Worst week in a long time. I myself don't do boxes but I do stop at al To of banks and see what they have. Thursday I stopped at about 8 banks and I asked them my normal " hello do you have any half dollars I could buy" " how about any large dollar coins" not a single coin at any of them, nothing at all and for the first time in a long time 3-4 banks seemed really annoyed with me asking, I even got a few " are you a customer here"?. Yesterday I went in one bank on my way to work and the lady had 2 looked at them and said oh sorry this one isn't all shiny for you. That's ok it was a 1966 :) finally! It's been like 2 weeks since I've gotten anything.

Results of 2 boxes from Friday: 1 1965 13 NIFC 1 Possible 1972-D No "FG" 1 Possible 1977-D No "F"
The good news is the manager told me she will make this a standing order. I can increase my order if I choose. I really don't have the time to go through any more than 2 boxes of halves in a week so I'll stick with the 2 boxes. It's good to know that I can order more if I want.
The manager also mentioned she had a couple of boxes of the gold dollars in the vault. She said they have been there a couple of years. She wanted to know if I wanted them? I don't know much about these dollars. Does anyone know if it would be worth it? The only thing I know to look for is the missing lettering on the edge.
