$16,000.00 in just a few days. Wow !

I've never seen $250 boxes of halves, only $500 boxes. Also, no, I'm not Mr. Moneybags, I'm Mr. Turned His Hobby Into A Small Business. Switching to night shift starting 12/3 so I can process 50+ boxes a week... Gonna up it to 100 in due time. Yep, $50k in halves every week.

When added to my current savings (AKA my 90% silver stash), it should give me a nice down payment ($50k?) on a house by 2014 and thereafter, should pay most of my mortgage. The downside is the ramp up in volume will require me to incorporate, so I'm founding an LLC next year to handle everything... I'm sitting down with a CPA next week to go over the details on how to limit my tax liabilities. The LLC will probably end up owning my house, makes the most sense for me that way.


By the way, my day job... I'm a data entry grunt who barely breaks $40k a year and I spend it all like there's no tomorrow, lol. I have plenty of student loan debt and a tad too much credit card debt because I like nice things. I sold some stock to raise about $4k in capital to do this with... Briefly considered paying off my CC's and tossing the rest into my student loans, but using it for coin hunting has paid of way more than the interest on those is costing me.

Must have been nice to find the two 96'ers. I have yet to find a silver proof.

Bank of America or Wells Fargo seem to be the best two candidates for this area. Of the two, I think Bank of America will be the better candidate. The few times I went to local Wells Fargo banks, I found the attitudes of the employees to be a bit on the uppity side.

So far, my Credit Union has been more than me to take their extra change. If I don't take it, they have to recount it over and over and then send it to the Fed. In short, they just seem glad to get rid of it.

I haven't been able to post a lot lately. Somehow, I've contracted this thing called trigger thumb. In short, it is a tendon related issue in my right thumb. So, I'm now using Dragon's Naturally Speaking. I'm using it to do a lot of my typing for me. I speak what I want to write and it types it for me. It's not perfect yet but the more I use it the more I like it.

Anyway, I hope to be able to do some more searching this week. I will be sure to post what I find.

WOw where do you live that banks are so willing and able to get so many boxes. I had weird looks when asking for a box every so often.

I understand about the empty boxes Silver Hunter. I too have a big stash of empty boxes to recycle. I have been taking them to the local college. They have large recycle bins for cardboard. I don't trust the local recyclers or just putting them in the trash at home or work. No need to send a signal to anyone. After all, each box has $500 written on it.

You can always fold them inward and recycle or use for fire starters!

I found a 2004-s proof today going through $35 of coins I got from the bank that someone had brought in. Its the first S I've found. It was definitely no longer in perfect shape but it still had that San Francisco Mint Proof shine too it. I also got a 1988-p hole filler. I'm probably one of the few people on here that doesn't have their Kennedy books filled yet.
