Baysinger, that mark looks all too familiar to me. I'm in Minneapolis. I have found a handful of them that are NIFC in otherwise perfect shape that I will try dipping in acetone. I hate when some edge searches ruin it for the rest of us.
Box 1 of 2013: 1981 s 4 NIFC

Gerrod I am in St. Paul and just made my first attempt at roll hunting and found quite a few with a mark on the back. I stopped at 5 different banks with a mile of each other and only two had halfs I could buy. One bank also said they keep some on hand but if I wanted to order some there is a $7.50 charge. I went through 11 rolls and didn't find anything below a 1971. I will be cashing these in and making another run at it tomorrow. Hopefully I find some Silver.

I always get 6 brinks boxes a week, even though I dump into them, just to keep tabs so to speak. Ended up being nothing to special, one proof ender in it. 9 boxes so far this week, 6 proofs (2) 40%, (1) 90% ben (1) 1987, (2) 1982 no fg (i dont date check, just check bright rims, and these if I see them (1) tackle shop sticker half 6 boxes for sure tommorrow and friday, maybe 7.

Has anyone else been finding LOADS of '99 P & D that are AU and some with hardly a mark? Did a hoard get released?

I have found a few 99's. But I found about $100 worth of 1990's last week in one box. They were in really nice shape. The newest coin in the box was 1992. There were also many mid 70's through 80's. It was probably the best looking box I have searched. I was really hoping it would have more silver since it contained mostly older coins.

Thanks for the feedback guys. HalfHunter & Fade nice finds - esp the '46 & '54! jwguts - I saw one of those (on here I think) a while back. That has to be the most beautiful renditions of the Kennedy half dollar in history (Said no one ever) Thanks for the link though. I may pick one up after I finish paying off my 50th Anniversary of the Bee Gees Coin. http://www.pobjoy.com/ukworld/section.php/943/0Heck yeah! It's Legal tender coin of the Isle of Man! Seriously though, I'd rather see a squarshed '71 than a poor ole' '66. Good luck Friday Murphy!

Half Hunter, Which Brown Style box are you referring to? The one with the darker brown box surrounding the writing on the side, or the other one? I receive the boxes with the darker brown box every time. I've never received the more plain box.
I purchased $1k in a bag last night. The head teller said he's ordering it from the fed and the bag said 'Fed' on the outside. The courier for this bank is Loomis. Not a single piece of silver. Disappointing but I guess I need to follow my own rule and go through a few thousand before coming to the conclusion that it's not a good source. This is a great location for me and the head teller has befriended me. Told me I can buy and dump anything! So I need to figure out if this is truly a situation where I'd be "dumping where I eat" or of they are going to two different locations. I may just ask him.

jwguts, I assume you got that from a teller tray or something. You didn't happen to get that in a roll or bag did you?
