BTW, we are getting quite close to the 1000 page mark. Will be glad to see that milestone reached.

Got two boxes today one skunk and one jackpot. 2-40% 1-Franklin 1-90% Kennedy 1-1995 s proof 1-1929-d and one 1929-d in nice condition. this is my oldest half to date. Looked it up in the book and only 1 million made with that year and mint mark. Cash value maybe $20-$40. maybe more. Next time I stop at the coin shop I will get there opinion. Also the 1995 s proof has some extra value versus other proofs in the 1990's. Gotta love spending $3.00 on 6 nice coins. This is my first box where I got a Walker,Ben, 64 Kennedy, 40% Kennedy and a Proof.

The new vault teller forgot to order my 6 boxes for Thursday. I had 1 box left from Monday. 1 40%, 2 proofs, and 2 NIFC. 3 Boxes today. 2 Franklins, a 1982 no FG, and a few NIFC.

50 rolls (20 coins/roll) in a box. Just ask your bank to order. some will, some won't.

My best half-dollar find: working as a credit union teller, someone brought in their deceased family member's coin collection. They said it was the leftover after they took out the valuable stuff. I ended up with 5 rolls, 2 labeled "john's", and 3 labeled "ben's" all silver too :) Any good dates to look out for? It's almost all consecutive years, not sure on mint marks though.

Beckals - They're all good if they are all silver. Grab a pricing guide, either online or a hardcopy like a coin collecting magazine or the Red Book, and get an idea how to grade them, identify the mint marks, and price them. It really is half the fun of coin collecting.

Finally filled one complete set of Kennedys, including all clad proofs and silver proofs. As of June 20th, I will again officially have two holes. That's when the 2013 P&D are released by the US Mint.

Silver Hunter - That's a mixed bag. I keep all the NIFCs I find, like a lot of others. But there are some who feel they have enough and toss them back.

SILVER HUNTER,
A 1929-D from a general roll? You have got to be kidding. Man, I would have been bouncing off the walls. Really great find there and glad you got it.
As for the NIFCs, I tend to keep almost all mine if they are in nice condition. I have been known to toss some back that were too worn and damaged. In fact, there is one NIFC from my last two boxes I may turn back in as part of a regular deposit.

BECKALS,
First, it must be great to have first dibs as a teller. This being said, many hunters would consider you an enemy of sorts. Personally, I would love to be a teller and have that ability.
As for the halves, do not sell them for their silver content alone without doing your research. If you do, it is possible you could be shorting yourself a LOT of money.
Finally, I would not take much credence in what those people who deposited the coins said. For them to say they had gotten the good stuff, and then deposit around $800 in silver halves for face value, would make me seriously question if they had any idea what the "good stuff" was to begin with.

I am new at coin roll hunting, I do nickels, pennies and half dollars. I have been doing this for almost a year. My last box of halves I got a 67, 65, and 7 proofs. My best box had 24 40%, and 2 franklins. I now have 2 branches ordering them for me!!
