I don't know about the accuracy of the values but I bet that's a pretty interesting book. However I suspect that in 15 years the values have moved.

Well from what I see it only covers the 20th century but it is the 2007 edition. But still pretty cool its bigger than a phone book!

I'd happily part with a dollar for a 2007 edition - mine dates from 2003 and I still find it really useful as a work of reference, although I also have more recent catalogues for UK, French and US coins.

Yeah the only reason I love garage sales is the rare chance I would find coins... So when I find something even dealing with coins I had to jump on it. Plus meeting some people who would happily part with foreign coins from their travels ain't too bad either :)

Looks like that is an nice reference book, and, 45000 illustrations. Is nice of them getting your contact info, and getting coins for you. I don't know your age or if you know them, maybe you could help them out with something in return? Looks like you knocked on the right door!

Well I hope to get to know them better that are quite a bit older than I am but yeah I am definitely going to try to not have them just give me the coins. Would be interesting to hear about their travels as well.

That is one of the reasons I go to as many of those as possible.
