Hi Guys. I got this in an ancient Roman coin lot. Definitely not Roman. I have narrowed it down to Philip IV of Spain. Any more details appreciated. 15mm and 0.9 grams. Thanks-

There should be a mintmark somewhere, but I can not see it on your coin

PHILIPPUS IIII DG
Philip IV dei gratia

HISPANIARUM REX
king of Spain

Hi Petrus. Thank you for your response. I have a follow up question. I believe that this coin may have been minted in Trujillo. To the right of the castle is a dot over M dot, and to the left looks like a dot over BR dot. The date is off the flan. What do you think?

Hi. This type of coin is rare. There is one from Valladolid mint (mint mark shreds), 1661, and assayer M and value IIII (under the castle). But assayer (those one I know) is on the left side of castle and mint mark on the right side. I dont know similar coins from other mints.
