Hi all. This is my first post here.
Recently I got two 4 reales coins, one from Mexico and one from Bolivia.
I'll start with what I know :)
1. Mexico. Reverse struck on obvesre and vice versa. Inscription is on both sides of the coin: oMO. But that second O seems more like a C to me. Given the assayers initials I found online, I'm assuming this coin is from 1572 to cca. 1600. Does anyone have any thoughts on this coin?

2. Potosi, Bolivia. It's from the reign of Phillipe IV, but I haven't found any coin online with vertical inscription of IIII like on this one. What's also confusing me is that there seems to be letters T and P (from top to bottom) on the left of the shield. Isn't is usual to have P(otosi) on top and assayers initial below?

I'll be really grateful for any info about those things that are confusing me. Thank you and take care.

The top coin appears to be a flip over multiple strike of Mexico, Philip II, Mo - O to the left of shield, dating circa 1572 - 1589 per assayer Bernardo de Onate. The second is from Toledo, Spain, To - P, Philip IIII, circa 1621 - 1639. Nice coins!

Thank you so much!
I'm glad I got Mexico somewhat right :) As for the second one ... It did not occur to me at all to it could be Spain as it was sold to me as Bolivia. No problem about this though.

Edit: where did you find information about Bernardo de Onate and his years in the mint? Info I found online is somewhat contradictory or at least not so specific about years (1572 - 1589).
