Trading Gold for Gold ... 4 NUGs @ a total of 2.75 grams for 1 coin that I really like.
So I know I got a good deal and,

Not sure how to take your "ex-spurts" comment. Referring to the folks you are asking for help as "has beens" seems a bit of an odd approach.

That said...

On a gram-for-gram basis, you certainly seem to have come out on top (2.75 vs. 4.18). The coin does seem to have been handled, but I can't say much beyond that from the images provided. It does appear to have fairly good remaining design detail.

The coin is the most common of the gold commemoratives from the classic era (1892-1954), but always a nice piece to have in one's collection.
