Found what I would call a Wide AM. Decent space between the A & M.
Went on ebay to see what other years are out there. There are coins
with just the slighest seperation being sold as wide AMs. If this is correct, I've thrown dozens back into the recycle bucket. Is there a minimum space required? One dealer was even questioned and replied that the letters didn't touch making it a Wide AM. Will post pic in varity section later.

Yep, same here, I just searched a bunch last night now I think I have to back through them again. How wide is considered "wide"

Wow, that is really a clueless dealer that doesn't understand the minting process. Not touching doesn't make it the wide variety- the separation can be increased slightly due to die polishing/abrading to remove clashes and other die flaws but it will still not look like a Wide AM. The easiest way to compare wide vs. normal is to look at a proof cent from that particular year

Check the space on the letters on any coin prior to 1993 ,,they were all Wide AM cents.

I actually found one tonight searching rolls. A real telling factor is the initials at the base of the memorial. If you get a 2001 or later coin to use as a comparison, seeing the difference is pretty easy with a glass.
