I'm not sure if I would consider them die cracks, maybe "progressive, linear die chipping"?

There is a die crack above N in IN on the obverse, though!

They are irregular. They look like die cracks to me. It they don't give when pushed down with a toothpick, they may be die cracks. If they show gray color in that area, they might be from split plating. Hard to tell from an image?
