Hi everyone, It's been a while, but I have a new coin on its way. I finally paid off a few bills and decided to reward myself with the ancient coin that's been on the top of my want list since I turned to the ancient side. It's the Shekel of Tyre. :D My interest is mostly in Biblical coins, so this is an awesome find! I got it from Marc at Ancient Imports. I wait impatiently by the door for it to arrive. Thanks! Erin

Thanks so much, everyone. I still can't believe that it'll soon be in my hands. My coin budget for the next 5 years is shot, but it was so worth it! lol Chrsmat, I'm actually female. My forum name is dedicated to a youtube video I found years ago. :D It turns out that my brother has been shopping as well. We seem to be in some sort of ancient coin competition since he picked up his first coin a few months ago. Here are the latest coins that he's bought: The classics! Erin

Luckie bunnies! The Shekel of Tyre is much harder to find, especially in that condition.

Thanks again, everyone! It's now safely with my other ancients. It's really nice to hold in person. :) Hey Manning. My coin is dated 46/7 AD. I'm not quite sure what all the markings are, like the one under KP. KP stands for "By Authority of the Roman Constitution". The letters to the left of the eagle identify the date (POB = 46/47 AD). Here are some links to other shekels that Marc has: http://www.ancientimports.com/cgi-b....pl?id=32920http://www.ancientimports.com/cgi-b....pl?id=32920You can also find shekels on Vcoins. I hope that helps! Erin
