After accidentally becoming a member of the TOP 100 Club with my last Morgan dollar purchase , I decided to actually look this time ! I found the sister coin to my last GRADE/VAM post this time out. Pics for your viewing pleasure- Color is a little off- obv is a little splotchy (is that a word ?) but it is a nice red-brown tone turning darker blue towards the rim. The reverse of this coin is spectacular in hand the iridescent reds , blues and greens are beautiful (IMHO). This is gonna be a tough one to grade from pictures-good luck. Grading photos in -post, VAM identifier link at bottom.

The tough part about toned coins (aside from the color at times
making it harder to grade coin overall) is the eye appeal score.
some graders go low because of the tone, some go higher.
some light wear and scratches etc. but overall would probably
make MS. I like the toning, but would have to only go as high
as MS62 on this one. I am usually conservative but feel this
is above the norm. for me on this one personally.
just one man's opinion.
Nice coin though.

Tough one to grade from a single picture for sure. From what I can see, I would go ms63. Cool coin, InfiniteInterest!

I paid 63 money for it and no premium for the VAM, I thought it was a steal at $37. I would have bought that coin regardless , but it was a VAM 4 small dot on top of that ! And since I had the VAM 3 large dot- it was a no brainer for a TOP 100 coin. I have a couple Franklins from mint sets that are so nicely toned - I look at them almost every day...Yikes !
