I was writing to check if anyone here would know the what the approximate value of this coin would be? It's a 1721 Thal Swiss-Bern Cantons Thaler Council of Sixteen. Sorry, but I only have a photo of the obverse. I was told this coin is worth Tens of thousands of dollars and may even reach $60,000 USD in an auction in Switzerland. This is a thaler-weight medal, a very nice one, issued annually by the council of 16. Here is a similar (less attractive as issued in lower than a thaler weight) specimen sold on ebay for $86: www.ebay.com/itm/371303937811 The price for yours might be higher, but do not expect any number with more than three digits, as it is simply not realistic. They have no photos on that page, but they put the value at VF-20 $4,250. I think it's not that hard to make a decision to sell to someone that's willing to pay way over suggested market price.
