A close-up pic of the date would help ...
As the dates of this variety have been known to be altered, certification by a top tier grading service is recommended.

I'm on my phone, so do not take this as firm, but it almost looks too strong. I will revisit later.

Looks real enough however, it should be a 42/41 and this one almost appears to be a 41/42. By that I mean the one is unusually to strong. Yet in that condition, it real, $2,000 to $4,000 range. IF REAL that is.

On my good monitor, I don't really find anything discouraging about the coin, conceding the images are too small for accurate opinion. The doubling is about as I'd expect, I can see the correct doubling on the 4 as well. The lettering is consistent with other genuine ones I've seen (odd combination of flattened strokes with the ridge on top, perhaps an artifact of how the die was basined), and it demonstrates the strong rims expected of 1942/1. In all, simone1978, in the absence of larger images I'd go ahead and recommend sending this one to PCGS in Paris.
I have the sense it's seen some small bit of circulation. However, there are hints of possible brushing on the obverse. In the very worst-case scenario, a Cleaned AU coin, its' value still exceeds US$500. The moment my worry about cleaning is proved wrong, that value probably doubles and if it is, in fact, a Mint State coin then refer to Carl's figures for potential value.

I'm not ready to affirm that it's circulated from these pics. It might not be; I can't see enough to know if it's strike or wear. In an AU53 PCGS slab, the linked DLRC coin is at top of retail. I'd expect with a little luck to be able to acquire one for less than $1000. PCGS 53's on Heritage (they have 15) haven't put $1000 into the seller's pocket since one in 2005. I agree with you on the AU50, ExoGuy. I think I take that one over the 53 as well. And I'd push you out of the way to throw the starting bid at that 55.

In my opinion, it is a well made fake. I can't exactly put my finger on it, but it just doesn't look quite right. I don't like the 2/1 area, the flattened T & OF, and some of the branch leaves. Also, what is that horizontal mark under to top set of bands? An extra piece of metal? Better pics are needed.

Appears to be AU-50 to AU 55, but would required better images to be determine, and if its cleaned. Net EF-40.

I concur with Mac on the grade, and that's why I posted ebay offerings in that range. The numerous tic marks on the face are a detraction for me, and a net grade may be apropos here. Regardless, it's a coin that needs to be certified.

Just remember that those ebay ones are still open for bidding and that could bring the price up a bit. Plus add in ebay and paypal costs too. And I too think this one is suspicious due to the 1 appears to be more prominant than the 2.

Carl .... two of those ebay coins are BIN's ... click and pay ... no bidding. I'm curious to see what my favorite, the one that is open for bids, sells for.
