...and when you will see them discounted, think additional time, are they worth the money, or better the take a look on some new nice item that Mints released for our hobby

I think general public doesn't know about these coins yet. Did RCM advertise it somewhere in the media?

I think these LT coins are markedly different than the Superman coins they are being compared to. Most coin collectors are males. Most little boys grew up wishing they were Superman (a boyhood idol of sorts). Thus the latent nexus in the gold Superman coin.
I don't know of a single boy who wanted to be Bugs Bunny, or Yosemite Sam.
So the interest in these LT coins should wane in comparison.

With almost half a million various LT coins hitting the market - I'm sure there will be far more heavy marketing both in Canada and likely more so in the USA - where LT fans are higher in numbers...

Surely they did their homework up front - there is a large LT fan base - I wouldn't underestimate the numbers...

I think there are a LOT of Fans of Looney Tunes, heck most if not all of us gre up watching them, however the real question is, would I be willing to shell out big money for a LT coin?
I was guaranteed 2 of the Gold coins, and gave them up, I just don't think as an adult collector that I would personally pay this much (or more) for any of these coins.

ace... I appreciate your point about shelling out big money... and yes, for many $800.+ is big money for any single coin...no matter the theme or mintage. However, not sure if you can simply write off the whole series because you and others are cancelling your pre-order gold coin. There are a slew of very modest priced LT coins...which will likely do well. Did a quick research... Back in 2003 the film Looney Tunes;Back in Action - grossed nearly 70 millions -however, the movie didn't break even with a budget of 80 million... There are lots of LT fans out there...and RCM knows this...hence the high numbered of varied priced selections. Something for everybody... heck, the cost of a movie ticket and popcorn...($20) can get you Bugs in your pocket.

@Electrum: I appreciate your enthusiasm for the LT coins. I hope you enjoy them as part of your collection. I tend to agree, however, with the direction ace_fw was heading...Yes, there is a large group of LT fans out there, but IMO the vast majority do not consider coins to be a "must have" collectible. There have been a large number of coins with pop culture themes released by world mints over the past five years and they generally have not fared well. Yes, a few have, but most have not. While I enjoyed the LT cartoons growing up, I have little to no interest in the RCM's new LT releases. I may buy one of the half-ounce silver coins - I think it's called "That's All Folks!" - because its design features most of my favorite childhood characters. But even at just about $40 USD, I'm not sure I want to spend it on the coin. I'll have to wait and see. To all those excited by the LT release - more power to you! Enjoy! Me, I'll stay on the sidelines and wait for something that's of more interest.

Commems, I appreciate your appreciation of my enthusiasm of the Looney series...AND, clearly I appreciate the renewed politeness across the board on this re-born LT thread. I'm likely to pick up a couple of LT coins at most...and will share with some baby boomers within my circles... starting w/ the swinging Tweety - But like most within this forum...there is so much of other stuff to consider...LTs in general won't be a must have...per se... Pop culture themes aplenty indeed... My point was merely - (as I suspect you understood) there are lots of LT fans that RCM is catering to with this massive series.
