Oh wow, that's really something!
Do you think it's possible that in 1951 an employee at the mint wasn't too keen on King George and by tinkering with the die in some manner, proceeded to issue a "pointed" statement?

PCGS has it at PL65 and its priceless? I bought it in an Australian auction.

I believe the clash happend while the dies were rotated about 15 to 20 degrees.
