Heres a screw up from PCGS but a good one. Graded at a perfect MS70 witch is impossible with a struck through error it would be a 69 or lower. Heres the deal I have found NGS MS69's with the obverse struck through mint error as shown below and they where sold out so I couldn't get any idea on price. Now mine is a reverse struck through and I can't seem to find another like it.

These coins were sold out at a million so there has to be more like it.

I would like to get an idea on value and how would I go about reholdering it with proper grade and struck through error on label? would I have to to it in to a variety attribution? And has any seen or heard of this particular error I have?

i would greatly Appreciate any help I can get right now I'm at a brick wall with this one.

To the Forum.
I very much doubt that a PCGS grader would let this through as a 70 grade.
I'm thinking that some Clown at PCGS damaged the coin after it was graded prior to being encapsulated

I would have to disagree with your assessment of the coin, it is a struck through mint error not a PMD witch can be clearly seen in picture. And theres no way PCGS damaged the coin thats absurd. I'm really not concerned with the grade its the error that is the main factor.

Not sure about the value of it but I think you need to do a special submission of some sort to get it attributed as an error.

What part of Bright Shiny Metal showing over a device on a PR70 coin makes you think this is a "Strike through" ?
I am interested to hear your thoughts on this concept

The close up up picture clearly shows the last 9 in the 999 has a struck through error. Just look at the NGC graded coin same type of error different spot. are you not seeing the 3 different pictures? click on the links.

Thanks Mr T. I plan on doing that eventually sending it in for variety attribution and resubmit to proper grade and error. I'mjust looking to see if there are any others out there and of coarse value is it worth getting regraded?
