I see a bit of evidence on the "9" in the date of Die Deterioration. But on the mint mark, I'm thinking it is split plating and zinc rot starting. No RPM though.

I got excited when I found one like this, but I learned too that this is gas.

Yeah, I posted an 87 D a while back. The copper plating is so thin that when it was struck it splt. Thus, Split Plating. Then the air hits the zinc and you end up with "zinc rot".
