I have a circulated 2000 Virginia State Quarter with no mint mark. It has some worn, but GW's hair is usually the first to go....do I have this correct? Any feedback on worth or explanation would be greatly appreciated. Ted
Struck through grease. You can tell on the in god we trust how some of the letters are weak or missing. It is an error. Premium I wouldn't think so but idk because those State Quarters suprise me on ebay.
Thank you for getting back to me, I really appreciate it. My question is, do I have a rare Virginia that could have been produced with no mint mark? Is it possible? Is it worth anything? Thanks a million! :)
Because there is a master hub that makes all of the designs, no. The mint mark is part of the design. I think it is a Struck Through Grease error like what tweak said.
