Is this dollar bill anything? I am confused why it is in a note holder. I think I may just spend it.

There is a 1917 obverse s though Biancasdad. The shiny cent is proof too. I would have payed 40 bucks for it. The love token is super cool though.

Of course you wouldn't have been able to pay $30 or $40 for it, you would be outbid most of the time. Personally I don't understand gross exaggerations for "dramatic effect". There is a higher AU Mercury dime, 1917-S Obverse Walker, 1864 Two Cent, love token, 1883 V nickel with cents, 1896 V nickel, beat up Three Cent Nickel, 1864 Indian head, and others.

The note is not worth any significant premium.

The description says that the note's serial number is a "full house" note because of the 6's and 9's. Basically, it is worth a buck.

This is why I tend to ignore notes in coin lots unless it was something really old looking like a large bill. I also got a 2 dollar bill and two silver certificates not worth much. So I paid $2.50 per coin, deducting the dollar from the total price. I few aren't worth that, but several are worth more, the Peace dollar in silver alone.

I think the reason the lot sold for what it did was because of the 1917 D obverse half.

Yes, I actually bid $40 for it and was outbid. Two others bid against each other then I bid again. The main bidder had a ranking of over 1700, so it wasn't a newbie after something than what was there. It is actually 1917-S obverse. I have one already though. There are others though worth more like I mentioned.

Speaking of other notes, I got one hundred Antarctican dollars fantasy note, anyone seen one and are they worth anything? I searched and did see one selling for $32. Here it is:
