I have over 300 circulated ikes. I've gone through them and picked out the great condition and different varieties already. I need to get rid of the rest now.... should I just bring them to the bank and get a dollar for them or will they be worth more in the future? I find them regularly at banks.

put it on ebay as one big lot of 100 starting at $150 and see if you get a bite or two. I know that guys buy them at banks when they have them for face and sell them for $3-5 at flea markets. If you change them in at the bank you will make the year of collector who has been asking the teller if she has any every week for the past decade. Or a dealer. Oh and if they sell and you like the price you got you can message the buyer or runner up and say "hey, want another hundred"

You could always send them to CCF members who are completing a set... Cough cough. ;P just kidding. But really selling large chunks may work and for the little work possibly get slightly more than face for em.

Spend them. Completely worth the strange look you get on the cashier's face.

About five years ago a member here had 120 circulated IKE's that he posted in the for sale forum. He was selling them for face and just wanted the person who bought them to cover shipping. I picked them up and left them as part of tips at restaurants or gave them to friends who wanted one. It was a relatively inexpensive way to educate people and give them something nice in return and I'm glad I bought them when I did.
You don't have enough posts yet to offer them here, but its just a suggestion on what you could do with them in the future.

I've been wanting to build a complete high grade gem set of ikes for a while now. Don't know why? I've also been thinking what it would take to.pry one from Jbuck's clutches

With 300+, I think that it will take some time and dedication to buy stuff with them. I would be more inclined to ebay them in batches with a'buy it now' that just manages to cover face and shipping. No profit, but at least you will recover your costs of acquisition. Are the banks forced to accept them in any quantity, if tendered over the counter? That would be the easiest way to get rid of them. That would be one way to make banks afraid of CRH'ers !

1. Didn't Washington try to throw a Silver Dollar across a River? You could try to get some fame by calling the news agencies and tell them your going to go to a river and throw some across. 2. Save them until Halloween. Then pass them out instead of candy. 3. have a giveaway right here on this forum for everyone. 4. Find something that is priced as $300.00 and pay for it with those.
