commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 12255 Posts	Posted 05/03/2015 10:56 pm Someone outside of the US Mint took a cent from circulation and stamped the outline map on it. Similar outline maps of other states are also found on circulating cents from time to time. They have all been stamped from cents released into circulation -- they are not an official Mint product. While such counterstamped cents might be interesting collectibles, they hold no value beyond their face value of one cent. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems.
